In the past years peoples were only accessing internet through computers. They were using personal computers, laptops, and some other types of computers for gaining some information or for what ever they want to search. After that we saw and also experienced that the trend of “mobile optimization” emerged. It was a new concept, because most of the peoples were unaware that it is impossible to access to the internet through a mobile devices. Most of the people started urging us about the importance of optimizing our sites for mobile devices, similarly about creating versions for the iPhone and other mobile phones and so on. There were even companies that created a business model around this idea.
In this regard I have I am trying to provide my personal opinions and share my personal thoughts and ideas about mobile optimization. In fact personally I have never really bought into it
I still want to defend my position that optimizing for mobile devices is not really necessary. It is not for the reason that people are not using these devices to access the web. They are. But most important reason for this is that in these days mobile and smart phones work pretty much like portable computers, with fully compatible browsers. The resolution is not great yet, but we are getting there.
In fact I am inspired and compelled to talk about this issue again after my brother, that is little in age from me, came hope with an iPod touch. Once I grabbed it to play a little I connected to our Wi-Fi system. After it I opened HOT TALKS. Believe me that I was really surprise because the website was loading very finely, and it was really possible to navigate around and read all the posts. After full loading we read all the posts and it was working properly and effectively.
To explain my opinions in other words, I don’t believe we’ll see the rise of a “mobile web”, with separate protocols and websites. And I am the strong believer that we’ll continue to use the “traditional web,” even though we’ll certainly start using new and mobile devices to access it. Sure there will be new applications and features that mobile connectivity makes possible, like Foursquare, but overall the good old’ web will remain as the core network. I hope you will also agree with my opinions that we will continue to use the old and traditional web. Although there will certainly some changes be occurred with the passage of time. But we have to use our old web.
