Do we really need to optimize our blog or website for Mobile Phones?

In the present days most of the website and blog owners are thinking for optimization of there blog or website for mobile phones. The main reason behind it is that they think that their blogs or website are not properly working on iPhone etc. therefore, they are trying to create a specific version of it for specially for mobile phones, iPhone and so on. You will also have heard about the importance of optimizing, if you have a website or blog, for mobile phones and also creating a specific version for iPhone etc.
It is a common fact that the mobile devices are more popular than ever, and with the passage of time and as we go forward a large number of people will be using them to get online, and also to access some websites and blogs. But, in realty I am not challenged with this realty. But what I am not sure is that if webmasters really need to worry about that trend when creating and managing their websites.
There is also a possible scenario for it: we should wait for just a few years like four or five. And believe me that within these five years or so, when the number of users that are accessing your website using a mobile device will be big enough to matter; those devices will no longer need a special version of your website anyway. I am sure about it therefore I am going to share it with you peoples. As I hope you people will be aware about it that iPhone and similar smart phones are bridging the gap from mobile phones to computers. Still there are a large number of websites and you can visit most with those devices without needing to load a special version of the site. Definitely, you can see that there is a large number of software available and the hardware is also arriving for the purpose.
I hope that within a period of four or five years most mobile devices will be able to load websites just like your desktop computer does today. Therefore, if that is the case, then webmasters will be able to keep focus on creating the best usable and also the accessible websites, and that is it. As a result there will be no need to create special mobile optimization versions because mobile devices will behave just like any other computer.
Concluding Remarks: as I made it clear that after a period of four or five the mobile devices will be able to load the WebPages like desktop or laptop computers, so I think that there is no need to optimize our WebPages for mobile devices.
